Final game heralds resounding win

Clevedon Under 14's rounded off the regular season in fine style with a resounding victory at home to Avonvale.

The boys were 'on point' from the first whistle with the pack dominant at both set piece and the breakdown and the backs looking dangerous at every opportunity. Avonvale's defence struggled throughout against the direct running of the Clevedon side and, in particular, scrum half Mackenzie Poulter who ended the game with a personal haul of five tries.

Dane Richardson and Harry Lyons each contributed a brace whilst Ethan Thomas landed four conversions for a final score of 53-0.

Dane, Harry and Mackenzie have rattled up an astonishing 72 tries between the three of them this season but, as stated on many occasions, this is absolutely a team game and the progress made across the squad in 2014/15 has been huge with much promise for the future as the boys seek to establish themselves as one of the top sides in the area.

Bristol Combination 7's next Sunday and the Avonvale tournament on May 3rd will round the season off and don't forget the Awards night at the club this Friday (tickets available from Tracey).
