In superb playing conditions both sides made attempts to run the ball. Clevedon's back line were on fire after struggling in the wet last week.Clevedon took an early lead with a try by Aaran Rice after a good handling movement. Keiron Hill converted having missed an earlier penalty attempt.
Another bout of direct running saw center dean Ashfield go over ,again Hill converting. Teignmouth had ample possession,but Clevedon's defence held firm.Before the break Teignmouth kicked a penalty.
The second half saw Clevedon score another four tries two coming from the length of the field moves.
A kick ahead saw young fullback Harry Butland score in the corner. Clevedon then had a yellow card. Teignmouth renown for their catch and drive at the line were out done by the Clevedon,s forward defense of the move and from one turn over went the length of the field for Tom Thie to score in the corner. Clevedon were now on the rampage and another length of the field saw young hooker Joe Ford go over under the posts for a try.Mike Taylor converted.
Teignmouth never gave up and Clevedon,'s defence always had to be alert to keep them at bay. Clevedon finished the game with a try by Mike Taylor which he in turn converted.A promising display but a long way to go yet.Next sat Thornbury away k.o.3.p.m.
