In conditions ideal for running rugby Clevedon certainly produced that against a gallant Midsomer Norton side fighting to stay in this division. Clevedon opened the scoring in the first minute with a kieran Hill penalty.Good forward pressure then saw Harley Foley go over for a try wide out. Clevedon had all the possession and increased their lead with a Hill penalty.Good work at the scrum saw Dean Ashfield crash over for a try under the posts, Hill converted. Clevedon now with their tails up saw Aaron Rice chip ahead and caught the ball for a fine individual try. Another forward drive saw Will Trollope go over for Hill to convert. Clevedon ended the half with a lenghth of the field handling movement resulting in Tom Thie going over the white wash, Hill again added the points for Clevedon to lead 37 nil at the break.
The second half saw Clevedon go into their shell and allowed the visitors to have a good 20 minutes in which they scored a well deserved try.In the final quarter Clevedon slipped back into top gear,and Brian Largenton went over for a try, after good work at the lineout.Mike Lowis then poached a try from the base of a maul.Hill added the points.It was now all one way traffic and Mike Taylor went in for a try up the blindside. Hill converted.The final move of the game saw Hill score in the corner.A good win over a side near the botom of the table.

Next Friday Clevedon are away to Taunton in the quarter final of the Somerset Cup.k.o.7.30 pm.
