Clevedon travelled to league leaders Stroud and put up a brave performance that was tighter than the score line suggests. The seasiders were slow out of the blocks and shipped a couple of soft tries, with the line out not functioning and a failure to look after the ball at the breakdown they were punished with further scores from the home side. The half time score was 27-5 with Clevedons only consolation a try from Cain Dingle. The second half saw Clevedon much more in the game and probably enjoyed the lions share of possession sadly a failure to score any points in their visits to the red zone were costly and Stroud finished convincing winners in the end. Head Coach Nick Hill commented 'it was always going to be a big ask at the unbeaten league leaders we didn't get going until the second half and by then the game was as good as over'.
